La segunda, las elecciones en doce entidades de México y la referencia a un estado que huela a gubernatura y ese es Baja California, porque el PRI tiene tres alcaldías y representación en el congreso del estado y todo los priistas estamos convencidos que por lo menos debemos mantener lo que se tiene hasta ahora y en eso estamos trabajando.
Entrevistado sobre cuál debe ser el perfil de los candidatos a las alcaldías, Andrés Garza dijo que el PRI necesita presentar propuestas de gente identificada a la sociedad, “nuestro trabajo en la Fundación Colosio es construir la plataforma electoral y eso nos ha llevado a tener contacto con mucha gente y organismos, lo que demandan es un representante cercano a sus intereses”.
Explicó que el proceso electoral comenzó apenas el domingo pasado, y a la Fundación Colosio le corresponde elaborar la plataforma que utilizarán los candidatos del PRI, esta antecede a las candidaturas y si bien hay nuevos elementos en el Ley Electoral que hay que entender, las candidaturas independientes, pero prevalece el régimen de partidos.
Respecto a las candidaturas ciudadanas, opinó que hay una premisa falsa, hay una idea que se ha generalizado que dice que ya no se quiere políticos sino ahora ciudadanos, pero no es correcta.
“Es como si llevaras tu carro al mecánico y este fuera deshonesto contigo y dijeras ya no voy a llevar mi carro con el mecánico o ya no voy a ir al médico sino con un ciudadano, para que me recete, no, necesitamos mecánicos honestos, doctores, profesionistas y políticos honestos, eso es los que ocupamos”, subrayó Garza Chávez.
Necesitamos gente que sepa del quehacer público, experta en los temas y que sean honestos; en todos los partidos políticos hay políticos honestos, claro que los hay, abundó.
Consideró que uno de los grandes problemas es la simulación no sólo del PRI sino de otros partidos que hace como que hacen, por ello la Fundación Colosio promueve espacios de participación, de propuesta que venga de gente de carne y hueso, no de la simulación.
Por último, inquirido sobre la inseguridad que se vive en la ciudad, aseguró que sin ser un experto en la materia, predomina una percepción de incertidumbre, donde el estado está siendo rebasado se requiere una mayor presencia preventiva de los cuerpos policiacos.
