- Establecen colaboración con la Universidad de Stanford para proyectos de energía renovable
PALO ALTO, CA, E. U.- Viernes 11 de septiembre de 2015.- Baja California será la sede de un importante evento binacional el próximo año, lo cual forma parte de los trabajos coordinados de la administración estatal que encabeza el Gobernador Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, y el Consejo México-Estados Unidos para el Emprendimiento y la Innovación (MUSEIC).
Lo anterior lo informó el Secretario de Desarrollo Económico, Carlo Bonfante Olache, quien comentó que el Gobierno del Estado participó en la 4ta. Junta de dicho organismo, que se desarrolló desde el miércoles pasado hasta este día en Palo Alto, California; a la que acudieron autoridades gubernamentales y organismos empresariales de las áreas de economía y comercio de México y Estados Unidos.
“El Gobernador Vega de Lamadrid tiene muy claro el enorme potencial de Baja California como tierra emprendedora e innovadora y de Calibaja como una mega región integrada económicamente, lista para el desarrollo de proyectos binacionales en beneficio de los emprendedores y empresas del estado”, resaltó el Secretario durante su participación en dicho evento.
Como parte de las actividades desarrolladas, se firmó un acuerdo de entendimiento con la Universidad Stanford para colaborar en el tema de proyectos de energías renovables.
Durante su presentación, el titular de la SEDECO destacó el repunte de la actividad turística recreativa y de servicios médicos, así como la visión conjunta de desarrollo económico que se busca formalizar a través de la iniciativa CaliBaja.
Además agregó que con MUSEIC se participó en la primera parte de la formación de una red municipal de clústeres en Tijuana y recientemente se lanzó la segunda fase, para ahora contar con una red estatal de agrupamientos certificados bajo estándares internacionales con apoyo del Instituto Nacional del Emprendedor (INADEM).
Adicionalmente, presentó el caso de la colaboración para el co-desarrollo de tecnología innovadora en el proyecto Lytoil, que permitirá a una compañía americana transformar llantas en combustible, en un esfuerzo que involucra a ingenieros de las universidades de Baja California que trabajan para tener lista la tecnología para el mercado.
Indicó que en el 2016 se lanzará el campamento para entrenar emprendedores (Trep Camp) mediante un intenso programa que concluirá con prácticas profesionales en una compañía americana de clase mundial, mismo que permitirá perfeccionar herramientas para iniciar negocios con visión global. La iniciativa contará con fondos estatales y federales a través de INADEM.
Al finalizar la presentación, el Secretario recibió un reconocimiento por parte de MUSEIC por la participación y colaboración del Estado en las diversas iniciativas que generarán nuevas políticas públicas para el emprendimiento, fortalecimiento de cadenas de comercialización, infraestructura para pymes y tecnología energética renovable.
