SILVANOPlayas de Rosarito BC, 14 de Agosto de 2015.- El Presidente Municipal, Silvano Abarca Macklis, reiteró su compromiso de trabajar por los adultos mayores y de brindarles más oportunidades para que “sus años dorados” los vivan tranquilos y seguros, ante los miembros del grupo “Renacimiento” al que visitó el día de hoy para saludarlos y convivir con ellos.

 

El Primer Edil aseguró que su gobierno tiene como prioridad implementar programas de bienestar para las personas de la tercera edad que van desde cursos, talleres, pláticas y atención médica, los cuales se ofrecen mediante el Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) y de la Dirección de Desarrollo Social Municipal (DESOM).

 

Debido a la inquietud de los integrantes del grupo “Renacimiento”, que dirige Raúl Velázquez en la colonia Independencia, a causa del reciente cierre de la “Casa del Abuelo” que operaba en la colonia Constitución desde el año 2012, Abarca Macklis señaló que era necesario hacerlo, por seguridad de ellos.

 

Explicó que DIF Municipal informó que las instalaciones estaban propensas a fallas estructurales, lo cual ponía en riesgo a los “abuelitos”, motivo por el que esta semana se cerró el inmueble mientras se evaluaba el costo para la reparación y se analiza si vale la pena la inversión debido a la mala condición que presenta.

 

El Alcalde Silvano Abarca enfatizó que los diferentes grupos de la tercera edad seguirán siendo atendidos en el Centro Comunitario Tonatzin, ubicado a un lado de la “Casa del Abuelo”, en su mismo horario, por lo que les pidió que no se preocuparan.

 

Durante la reunión, el Presidente Municipal saludó y platicó con cada uno de los asistentes y recibió del Presidente del Grupo,  Raúl Velázquez, las gracias por estar al pendiente y ayudar a los adultos mayores, que son uno de los grupos más vulnerables de la comunidad, y, en ocasiones, también uno de los más olvidados, pues en el lapso de mes y medio es la segunda vez que los visita.
