Mexicali, B. C. jueves 5 de noviembre de 2015.- De casi 400 mil encuestas aplicadas a partir de los 20 años en el Estado, para prevenir los Trastornos Alimenticios, se detectaron más de 146 mil casos de obesidad, indicó la diputada Cynthia Selene Ruíz Ramos.
Así lo resaltó al presentar ante el pleno, una iniciativa con proyecto de decreto que reforma diversos artículos de la Ley de Salud Pública del Estado de Baja California, con el fin de combatir dichos trastornos.
Hizo hincapié en que la cifra arrojada por las encuestas es terrible en términos de los nuevos hábitos alimenticios actuales, donde la vida diaria, las prisas y el trabajo, han orillado a comer mal y rápido, prefiriendo los alimentos con alto contenido calórico, en vez de buscar equilibrio en la alimentación diaria.
Tan sólo en el 2015, se detectaron en Baja California más de 500 mil casos de Diabetes, Hipertensión arterial y Obesidad, y en sí, no se tienen registros tangibles en nuestro Estado de los Casos de Trastornos de la conducta alimentaria, agregó.
La legisladora mexicalense, señaló además que estos Trastornos o TCA, son enfermedades que provocan consecuencias negativas tanto para la salud física como mental de la persona.
A pesar de ello, no se encuentran dentro de las obligaciones del Sector Salud Estatal, incluso no manejan referencias claras en el último informe de Gobierno. Los trastornos son la anorexia nerviosa y la bulimia nerviosa, el trastorno por atracón, la ortorexia (la obsesión por la comida sana) y la vigorexia (la obsesión por el ejercicio físico).
“Nuestra propia legislación no tiene contemplados estos términos y los casos existen, pero como gobierno no hemos sido concretos en atacar, Algunos centros de tratamiento de las adicciones como Misión San Carlos del Ayuntamiento de Mexicali, tratan estas enfermedades, pero sigue siendo un leve esfuerzo en relación a la gravedad y magnitud del problema”, destacó.
Cynthia Ramos subrayó que la última encuesta de la Secretaría de Educación Pública en 2014, arrojó estos terribles datos en relación a dichos trastornos que aumentaron 300 por ciento en México, durante los últimos 20 años.
Mencionó que en 95 por ciento de los casos, la anorexia y bulimia se desarrollan a partir de hacer una dieta estricta; el 25% de las mujeres encuestadas de entre 15 y 18 años han dejado de comer por 12 horas por miedo a engordar y uno de cada 10 alumnos varones de bachillerato, recurre al ayuno como método contra la obesidad o sobrepeso.
Por tales motivos, la legisladora expuso que su intención es iniciar con el proceso legislativo a nivel local, para no perder más el tiempo y realizar acciones y estrategias que puedan combatir de una manera efectiva y real, estos terribles padecimientos.
Finalmente dijo que este problema afecta directamente a las nuevas generaciones, donde las tendencias de la comunicación invitan a parecer a un estereotipo de persona, arriesgando su propia salud, “busquemos la manera de apoyarles a quererse a ellos mismos, para que se alimenten adecuadamente y que se quieran tal y como son”.
