Playas de Rosarito BC, 20 de octubre de 2015.- A fin de orientar a la población sobre cómo identificar billetes falsos o apócrifos, y sobre cómo conocer mejor las características y los elementos que conforman los billetes de las diferentes denominaciones, la Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal (DSPM) del VI Ayuntamiento de Playas de Rosarito emitió una serie de recomendaciones.
El Director de Seguridad Pública Municipal, Joaquín Antonio Olea López, señaló que en materia de prevención del delito un aspecto importante que ha impulsado el Presidente Municipal, Silvano Abarca Macklis, es la orientación y la capacitación a los ciudadanos sobre cómo evitar ser víctimas de hechos delictivos que los puedan afectar económicamente.
Afirmó que en el caso de los billetes falsos lo más importante es conocerlos y saber identificarlos, lo cual es el mejor mecanismo de defensa para evitar ser engañados y perder su dinero, agregando que la clave está en verificar que los originales cuentan con características de autenticidad, como lo son: registro perfecto, marca de agua, ventana transparente e hilo micro impreso, entre otras.
Explicó que el registro perfecto consiste en impresiones hechas por ambos lados del billete. Al verse a contraluz, se complementan exactamente formando figuras, como en el caso de los que expide el Banco de México, puede formar la figura del mapa de la República Mexicana y la rosa de los vientos.
Al girar un billete, dijo también, podemos identificar los elementos que cambian de color y, dependiendo de la denominación, la nueva característica: el hilo 3D, que también se encuentra en algunos billetes.
Si se sospecha de la autenticidad de un billete o moneda se debe evitar su regreso a la circulación; es decir, no debe usarse para realizar algún pago ya que al hacerlo, sabiendo que es de dudosa autenticidad, nos convierte en distribuidores de piezas falsas, aun cuando se trate de una sola pieza.
Hacer esto equivale a realizar un delito del fuero federal, que se castiga con prisión. Lo correcto es canalizar el billete o moneda que parezca falso al Banco de México, y denunciar incidentes de este tipo a los números de emergencia, al 066, o de denuncia anónima, al 089.
