El presidente de este organismo empresarial, Gilberto Leyva Camacho dijo que es preocupante que en los últimos días se han incrementado los hechos delictivos en la ciudad, por lo que es conveniente que tanto las autoridades como los ciudadanos sumen esfuerzos para avanzar en el tema.
¨El tema de seguridad es muy sensible, yo soy de las personas que está muy al pendiente en el tema, la ciudadanía nos está pidiendo que trabajemos porque lo que menos queremos es una ciudad insegura, ya que eso nos afecta en materia de turismo y en nuestra economía¨, indicó.
Leyva Camacho recordó la inseguridad que se vivió en Tijuana y en Baja California, en los años del 2007 al 2009, cuando la gente de Estados Unidos no quería cruzar, además de que hubo fuga de empresas hacia la Unión Americana y otras entidades del país.
¨No queremos llegar a eso, por eso estamos luchando y buscando la forma coadyuvar en este tema¨, afirmó.
En este sentido, mencionó que en coordinación con grupo Femsa, arrancarán próximamente el programa Ponle Dedo al Ratero en la colonia Sánchez Taboada, por ser donde se tiene un mayor reporte de robos a comercios.
De acuerdo a información oficial, precisó que de enero a julio de 2015, se han reportado 3 mil 416 robos a comercios, de los cuales mil 313 se perpetraron en Tijuana y el resto en los demás municipios.
¨La finalidad de este programa, es impulsar la cultura de la denuncia entre la población, con la finalidad de avanzar en materia de inseguridad, coadyuvando de esta manera con las autoridades¨, puntualizó.
Desde hace varios años se ha impulsado este programa, el cual, destacó, ha tenido una efectividad de un 80% en la detención de los delincuentes.
