C., viernes 11 de septiembre de 2015.- En segunda ronda donde obtuvo 18 votos a favor, el contador Roberto Bautista López fue elegido por el Pleno de la XXI Legislatura local, para ocupar el cargo de titular del órgano interno de control de la Comisión Estatal de los Derechos Humanos (CEDH).
Dicho ciudadano fue electo por mayoría de los diputados del Congreso local, de un listado de siete personas que cumplieron con los requisitos para desempeñar el mencionado puesto, los cuales fueron: Roberto Bautista López, Mirna Elisa Bejarano Ahumada, Francisco Castro Trenti, Armando Salinas Bravo, Esteban Tinajero Segovia, Francisco Torres Sevilla y Jaime Eliseo Zatarain Verduzco.
Anterior a la votación, el presidente de la Junta de Coordinación Política, diputado Roberto Dávalos Flores, había sometido a consideración de sus compañeros parlamentarios los acuerdos tomados por este órgano colegiado, en el que están representadas todas las fuerzas políticas que conforman el Poder Legislativo.
Uno de esos acuerdos es referente a que la fecha de protesta del que fuese electo como contralor de la CEDH, se realizaría una vez que sea aprobada la disposición presupuestal conducente, además de que duraría en su encargo hasta el 31 de mayo del año 2019.
En la primera ronda la votación quedó de la siguiente manera: Roberto Bautista López (10), Mirna Elisa Bejarano Ahumada (2), Francisco Castro Trenti (1), Armando Salinas Bravo (1), Esteban Tinajero Segovia (2), Francisco Torres Sevilla (0) y Jaime Eliseo Zatarain Verduzco (3).
Roberto Bautista López nació el 24 de mayo de 1946. Es contador público por la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, además de licenciado en derecho por la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Entre otros puestos, ha sido subdirector administrativo de Obras Públicas en Tijuana, así como director de Auditoría Fiscal del Gobierno del Estado de Baja California en el periodo de 1983 a 1989. De 1997 al 2014 fue auxiliar de la administración de justicia en el Consejo de la Judicatura del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Baja California.
