ENSENADA, B.C.- Martes 25 de agosto de 2015.- Uno de los proyectos que potenciarán el desarrollo económico de Baja California, es la creación del Parque Submarino en municipio de Rosarito, proyecto que impulsa la administración estatal que encabeza el Gobernador Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, para lo que se dará inicio con el hundimiento del barco Uribe 121, y de esta manera crear el primer arrecife artificial del Pacífico Norte.
El Secretario de Turismo, Oscar Escobedo Carignan, dijo que el hundimiento de este barco se realizará tentativamente en el mes de noviembre, para dar inicio al Parque Submarino de Rosarito, con lo que se impulsará el desarrollo económico y ambiental de Baja California.
Agregó que este parque estará en una superficie de más de 40 hectáreas submarinas, lo que dará una vocación extraordinaria, no solo a Rosarito sino a todo el estado, ya que más de 20 millones de buzos registrados a nivel mundial, podrán presenciar la vida marina del arrecife.
Escobedo Carignan destacó que el Gobierno del Estado está comprometido en continuar apoyando este extraordinario proyecto, que generará una derrama económica entre 50 y 60 millones de pesos al año.
Agregó que la SECTURE está trabajando para que Baja California se posicione nacional e internacional, como un destino turístico que ofrezcan vocaciones diferentes en cada uno de sus municipios, como tal es caso de Tecate con su pueblo mágico, Ensenada con a capital mexicana del vino y con la chinesca en Mexicali.
